Snow Canyon - Great Day Trip - Snow Canyon State Park

I'm fortunate to live in the St George area and Snow canyon is one of my favorite places.

When traveling to Zion thru St George a side trip is definitely in order. This canyon consists of petrified sand dunes and lava beds. Amazing scenery and some nice short hikes.

In Sept 2006 I was in Capitol Reef NP and got to talking with a fellow from Australia. He told me that he's hiked in Utah several times and still considers Snow Canyon one of Utahs best treasures.

Utah has some of the most interesting/beautiful National Parks in the Nation, this state park looks like another red rock Utah gem.
