28th November 2005 marks the end of my military life and the start of a new chapter.
In army, time never seem to pass quick enough. Often you would drift into another part of the world, to places of unbound pleasure. I have this picture which i kept by my side throughout my national service, for me it was the light at the end of the tunnel.
Therefore you could sense my joy when i took the first step into paradise. First destination, Pulau Langkawi.
ORD loh!
Born in a free Singapore, where the roads are safe and the streets are clean. I grew up living in a housing estate in jurong till i was ten. I moved into a terrace house along bukit timah and have been residence there ever since.
Traveling to malaysia to visit relatives is almost second nature to me. But other than that i dont think i have being to any other parts of the world.
I'm going to Newcastle, Australia to continue my studies in Feb 06 so that would be a huge move in life for me.
I would love to make traveling a very important part of me so to see the world for myself instead of from televisions or word of mouth from my friends. As a student i guess one important factor i have to consider every trip is money. So till i start earning an income, i shall start with the neighbouring countries.I guess one of the parts i enjoyed most is the collection of data and the planning of the trip. That's where i chance apon virtual tourist and it's vast library of data and members. I think VT has done a great job by letting members exchange valuable information.
Well my first destination is Langkawi, stay tune! Cheers!
After seeing through so many of the VT members homepage, i realise how lucky many of them are, not saying that i'm not but all these people have been to so many places, not to mention places far away. Well, i have only started traveling like now, haha and a 4 days trip to just Langkawi have set me back S$450. Tht's like 1/4 of my savings. Well i'm going to visit langkawi and KL again but with a diff group of friends this time so i guess it's another S$450 or more burnt in the pocket. Well i guess the next time that i will be able to go traveling again would be after i start working. But for consolations, i would be away from sg for like 3 years haha.. to study... in Newcastle, Australia. So i guess i'm counted very forturnate after all! Cheers~!
My love affair with football started when i was ten years old. As a kid i grew up watching Fowler, Rednapp and Mcmanaman playing fantastic football for the Mighty Liverpool FC. Since then i have never stopped supporting the mighty reds, the pride of England. I would love to travel to Anfield one day to watch a game but i guess that wont be in the near future due to money and time constraint.
12 years on i witness the most amazing final, in Istanbul.
No one believed we could make it to the 2nd round.
No one believed we could come back at half time 0-1 down to Olympiakos.
No one believed we could beat Leverkusen away.
No one believed we could beat Juventus.
No one believed we could beat Chelsea.
No one believed we could stage a comeback 0-3 down at halftime in the finals to Mighty Milan, including me.
But we did it....
For the fifth time in history, LFC will be crowned the european champions.
I couldnt stop tearing when Gerrard lifted the cup.. perhaps this time the sleeping giant has finally awoken from it's slumber.
