"Mammoth Cave" Mammoth Cave National Park by KARLPORTER56

We had only visited one other cave before this one,Smoke Hole Caverns in West Virginia. That one was much more intimate and tighter.. This is a huge national park with busses leaving from the visitor's center to Various caves for varying lengths and skill level.. I think we did the frozen Niagara tour which wasn't the easiest but one of the easiest.. however it was quite long and the national park service did a great job of educating the visitors of the Hows and Whys these caves exist. They even had a classroom where a park ranger spoke down in the cave.. It wasn't confining. it was open and long.. It was dark,cool and very interesting.. The Frozen Niagara stalagmites or tites. not sure, was an unusual formation.. the tour was well worth the money and time.If you were really into spelunking.. There are caves to fit any level.. This is a nice National Park in an unusual geographic area of the world.
