My favourite little towns in Queensland....... rubyvale is a great little Queenland sapphire mining town, with more than a few quirks. Nindigully is home of one of Queenslands most famous bush pubs and what was one of the best B&S dances in the country. Its also the setting used for one of Hugh Jackman's early movies. our home is near the junction of the Brisbane and Bremer Rivers. We have always enjoyed the peace and quiet. Coolum Beach at the Sunshine Coast is just South of Noosa and a winter escape for lots of Victorians. |

|  | A country bore truck! The water situation in Southern Queensland has been diabolical. Wivenhoe Dam, which is the water supply for most of Southern Queensland is very low and water restrictions will probably end up a way of life as the population continues to grow. A water recycling plant is being built very close to our home right now. One of those concepts people in our country have been very slow to embrace.
This truck has a drill and bores the holes for the casing to be pushed into. The bore pump is then either at the top, or a submersible is lowered into the water, and pumps the bore water to the surface. |
