    • We love staying at this hotel for a week-end (or long weekend) getaway! Only half an hour from home - and get a room with a view of the river, as well as looking over Southbank Parkalnds. Close to the city, if you want to wander in for shopping or any of the other facilities. Southbank has all the entertainment you could want - museum, art gallery, library, Perorming Arts Complex if you want to take in a show, cinema, markets, the parklands and swimming.

    Breakfasts are plentiful and varied, and included in the room cost.

    The Saturday night seafood buffet is to die for. Not cheap - but an excellent array of the freshest seafood!

    • This has always been one of my favourite hotels to stay in Brisbane - either in the Crest or newer Carlton Towers. Rooms are spacious and very comfortable, facilities at the hotel are superb - particularly the ground floor restaurant, Picasso's - where I have been a regular, even when not a guest.

    Hotel is situation in the centre of the city - and walking distance to shopping, cinema, southbank and all its facilities - and near the newly developed Roma Street Parklands.

    Unique Qualities: Great location - excellent restaurant and service facilities.

    • This is one of Brisbane's finest hotels, and located nestled between the Brisbane River and Botanical Gardens - with beautiful views of both from the rooms. The rooms are beautifully appointed, the service is excellent, and overall hotel facilities are second to none. One of the more expensive hotels in Brissy, but well worth the expense for a special occasion or just a relaxing getaway!

    Unique Qualities: Beautiful European decor, outstanding service and food. Style all the way.

     We had a great time in Brisbane and we certainly make a return trip and follow up some of your tips, we think it's a great place, loved the river/riverside and the botanic gardens.
