The city where I grew up.....
You are always partial to the city you are Born, so am I. In spite of somewhat bad roads and bad infrastructure, its a beautiful town in central India. The climate is to die for with the summer extreme going up to 104 F and winters extreme 45 F. The best part is its beautiful and helpful people who love hosting people from different parts of the World. The city has couple of very great getaways Like the beautiful Mandav or Mandu(forts , scenic views , mountains and the historical Love Story of Rani Rupmati & Baaz Bahadur. Also the town of maheswar on the banks of Narmada has its charm with the temples, forts and boat rides.
The city of Indore has lakes (Sirpur, yeshwant sagar, piplaya pala) and historical monuments like the sheesh mahal(Palace made of Glass!!!!), Lalbaug palace(Reidence/ museum of Holkars),Rajwada(City Center).
The city has been the textile capital of the region with one of the best quality cloth present.

The city is very close to the cities of Ujjain, bhopal which can be an added attraction for your trip
