Welcome to " LADY OF THE WORLD"

Proud to be Lebanese

Beirut
Here at Beirut , i grew up ...
i remember myself 10 years old playing at Beirut's Heresh , running with my sister on Raouche's cornish , feeling the sands of Ramlet Bayda
i wish i could get back to this moment , i wish i could live it again ..
Beirut " set donya " transleted as " lady of the world " will always be to its citizen " the paradise " on the earth.

When arriving to Beirut , you 'll wish never to leave ..
Lebanon was known in the Bible as the " land of milk and Honey ".
its magnificent mountains and sea provide the country with probably the most beautiful scenery in the Middle East .

As an arabic country , Lebanon is the most freely ..
Just at Lebanon , you can see a fascinating cultural cocktail where in one views a nation perched unsteadily between modernization and traditionalism.

In Beirut , teenagers sport Metallica T-shirts and feign world-weariness, but at the same time mingle with turbaned Druze elders. At the same time , one spots women covered in HIJAB walking side by side with high-heeled fashion victims with trendy haircuts.

it is not difficult to find your way around in lebanon , despite the constantly changing roads and the lack of street signs and updated maps. Still, this is a small country: there's the sea to one side, mountains to the other, and you can drive from north to south in three hours.. Do not hesitate to ask people for help. Most people are very very friendly and will do their best to be useful. Not everyone knows their way around, though, especially when it comes to street names. Rather than ask for streetnames, i recommend you ask for areas(ex: how dowe get to Raouche) and then for well-known places. So, if you know that your restaurant is located next to the police station, don't ask for Sadat Street, rather ask for the police station, or for some other well-known feature.

The History of Our Flag

while lebanon was under French mandate in 1920, the french and lebanese authorities decided that the lebanese flag would be striped of three colors like the french flag:blue, white, and red, but with a gree cedar tree in the middle. On November 11,1943, Lebanese government officials agreed to change the colors of the lebanese flag to red, white with the cedar tree in the middle. The red color of the flag symbolized the blood shed in the revolution, the white represented peace, and the green cedar was a symbol of immortality. On sunday November 21,1943 members of temporary government met in Bchamoun Near Aley , and the new flag was declared official. Members of government , some soldiers, and many citizens assembled and raised the new flag in Bchamoun to announce Lebanon's independence.
