Harburg was the third place of interest while we entered Bavaria. After Wurzburg and Nordlingen it is good to spent a few time in the middle age burg. |
| | Mentioned for the first time in the official document in 1093, Harburg Castle was erected for protection of imperial road from Nordlingen to Donauverth. The strengthening was granted in 1295 to true columns - later to dukes - Ettingen. The privilege which became hereditary in 1407 (their descendants own the Castle till now). |
