How to get Hohenschwangau by car

Take the A7 motorway (direction Ulm-Kempten-Fussen) until the end and at the exit to Fussen. Then – B310. From Fussen via the federal road B17 direction Schwangau and follow the signs to Hohenschwangau village.

Another way - Take the A95 motorway (direction Minchen - Garmish). Then – B23 (direction Ehrwald). Then – Austrian 314 (direction Reutte). Then – turn for B17 direction Schwangau and follow the signs to Hohenschwangau village. We used this war during our first visit in 2004. This way is a little bit longer, but we had to climb Zugspitze…

In 2005 on our way to Linderhof from Augsburg via B23 we were going to reach Hohenschwangau through the pass by the shortest way. But the pass was unfortunately closed (flooding)…
