"Ras Al Khaimah Emirate" Ras Al Khaimah by Kuznetsov_Sergey

Ras Al Khaimah Travel Guide: 27 reviews and 198 photos

The UAE consists of seven emirates, which are Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Umm al-Quwain, Ras al-Khaimah, Fujairah and Ajman. I’ve been to six of them. Ras al-Khaimah can be translated as "The Top of the Tent”. Its short name is simply RAK. It is in the southern part of the Persian Gulf.

You can watch my 4 min 46 sec HD Video Ras Al Khaimah along by bus to Fujairah out of my Youtube channel and my 4 min 11 sec HD Video Ras Al Khaimah Al Hamra Resort .

Sergey, lovely little page about Ras Al Khaimah, which is probably one of the lesser known Emirates. Greetings from snowy Germany to Ded Moroz. :-)

Looks like a nice resort as a base for exploration :-)) Haha, the little Santa Claus reminds me of how I imagine Väterchen Frost :-)

Ras al-Khaimah can also be translated as "the cape with a tent" as Ras is for head (top but geographically cape) and Khaimah is for tent.

I was surprised to see the christian holiday of Christmas celebrated here. Lovely tour & so nice to something other than Dubai and Abu Dhabi. <(?¿?)>
