    • Like in every Russian city or town you may see a Lenin's monument (may be several or even many of them!). In Sergyiev Posad this monument is situated at the square in front of the Trinity Lavra to the right hand of the entrance (200 m) and to the left hand of the St Sergius monument (50 m).

    There are a lot of streets in Sergyiev Posad which kept their names since soviet times: Karl Marx street, Karl Libhneht street, Proletarskaya, Sovetsakaya square and even Rabochij Tupik (Worker's deadlock) ha-ha!

    • After close exploring the Lavra inside fortifications I advise you to walk them around. You will see several off the beaten paths places. Among them - Sacred Spring at the back side of the monastery’s walls ( 400 m).

    • Close to the sacred spring you will find beautiful wooden Church. I think it was constructed in modern times but it will attract your attention foe certain. It’s possible to go inside it and see several icons.

    • To the west side of the monastery’s wall you will find red bricks buildings of the monastery with red bricks walls. It’s under reconstruction now but even in its today view it looks rather impressive. I can imagine how it will be look like after the reconstruction comes to its end!

    • When you go around the Trinity Lavra along the Iljinskaya Street (to the west side of the monastery’s walls) you will find a monastery’s pond. There are beautiful views.

    • A small church (I don't know its name) may be found at the east side of the monastery's wall.

    • You may see the Eternal fire devoted to heroes of the Vilikaya Otechesvennaya Voina (WWII) who lived and went to the war from Zagorsk (former name of Sergiyev Posad) close to the monastery's wall at their south side.
