Delft is my favorite city in the Netherlands. I was lucky to visit it in December of 1995 and spent a week when was on business there.
Delft is located between Rotterdam and The Hague. Delft is primarily known for its typically Dutch town centre (with canals), also for the painter Vermeer, Delft Blue pottery (Delftware) and its association with the Dutch royal family, the House of Orange-Nassau.

Delft is also my very favorite town in the Netherlands. I think it is magical and it is also the birth town of Hans.
Thank you, Lori! Delft is also among my favorite towns in the Netherlands and I well remember out of your page that Hansi was born and grew up there.
Looks like a nice place to walk around in with some lovely churches and houses. And I see that Delft even has got its own leaning tower.
From one of your tips I learned about Anna Paulowna. I recognised the name because there is a town named after her. Maybe if she had said yes to Napoleon there would now be a town named after her in France.
Last week I was in the northern part of the Netherlands for a few days, but in Groningen, not Anna Paulowna.
