Oaxaca de Juares

Estado de Oaxaca (English: Free and Sovereign State of Oaxaca) is one of the 31 states which, with the Federal District, comprise the 32 Federal Entities of Mexico.
It is located in Southwestern Mexico. It is bordered by the states of Guerrero to the west, Puebla to the northwest, Veracruz to the north, Chiapas to the east. To the south, Oaxaca has a significant coastline on the Pacific Ocean.
I crossed this state on the way from Puebla de Zaragosa and visited Oaxaca de Juares, Monte-Alban, Santa Maria del Tule and Santo Domingo Tehuantepec.

Your page reminds me veeeery old souvenirs (1979)when I traveled there; nice souvenirs; I remember the mountains too, and the train blocked by a landslide in the Sierra Madre. Will immediately look at Monte Alban :)

Monte Alban seems to be interesting place. Photos of the cathedrals (in travelogues as well) are very impressive
