Local Customs: Holger's the Dane Shelter

The ancient Danish legend is connected with the castle of Kronberg about a hero: Holger the Dane who sleeps in vaults of the castle and will wake up at terrible hour for Denmark to save it. This plot is put in a basis of a fairy tale of H.K.Andersen "Holger the Dane":
"He is chained in iron and steel and props up his head with mighty hands. His long beard strongly grew to a marble board of a table. He sleeps and sees in dreams everything, what is doing in Denmark. Each Christmas Eve an angel come to him and speaks: Denmark is not threatened with any serious danger. Of this terrible minute come - old Holger the Dane will rise, and the marble board of a table will burst, when he will pull the beard...
When it's sunshine in Kronborg, the wind informs sounds of the hunting horns: ships past float and greet: Boom! Boom! And there is an answer from Kronborg: Boom! Boom! But Holger the Dane does not wake up, as guns scorch loudly. Not such firing should go to wake him up!"
