Fontainebleau

The Palace of Fontainebleau is located 55 kilometers from the centre of Paris. It is one of the largest French royal châteaux. I was lucky to visit it in August of 1995.
The palace as it is today is the work of many French monarchs, building on an early 16th century structure of Francis I. The building is arranged around a series of courtyards.

Versailles

I had luck to visit Versailles three times. For the first time it happened in August, 1995. It was my first pleasant shock from a meeting with this masterpiece of palace and park art.
Unexpectedly the second visit happened in November of 1995. That time we visited Versailles together with a group of colleagues.
There was a strike of railway employees and we arrived to Versailles by cars.
The third meeting occurred in August of 2003 when I took Irina and Asslan to Versailles. Impressions were the finest again.
