An excellent page Sergey! Golly, it is old here! Love your photo's, especially the ones with the Poppies, the Lake and the marvellous views. Don't those old Theatres have very steep steps/seating.

Wow, fantastic history lesson, Sergey :-)) I love the location of old Pergamon with the river gorge nearby and so high above the city! Strange that there is no public bus service. And what a tragedy with the books!!

Sergey, very interesting page about Bergama and Pergamon. I especially like your off the beaten path tips where you link Berlin and Moscow with Pergamon. So I see you still have a reason to return to Berlin in Germany. :-)

Pergamon is one of my favourite ancient sites in the world. Also I like the old, stone houses of modern Bergama.

Amazing page with stunning photos. I esp. like the pic "Bergama from Pergamon Hill" with the ruins in the foreground and the wonderful views of the sprawling city. Also interesting was the Temple of Trajan.

What a fantastic location Bergama has! Thanks for the descriptions of its structures & also for the awesome photos of these ruins perched high above. The combination of old stones, moss, green shrubs and beautiful red poppies while gazing down is amazing!
