| Cappadocia - Zelve - Pasabagi |
The Zelve Valley is known as the Zelve Open Air Museum. It is among the earliest-settled and last-abandoned monastic valleys in Cappadocia. Zelve is well-known as the area in which the most interesting 'fairy chimneys' are situated. Fairy chimneys here have sharp points and thick trunks. Unfortunately I haven't been to Zelve Open Air Museum itself, I didn't see the Love valley (may be next time). But I was happy enjoy the Pasabagi Valley and the Devrent Valley.

Trekki Tue Mar 24, 2009 19:08 UTC Oh wow, your music selection is ... adorable! Tchaikowsky!! And this vivid Turkish one :-) Fantastic sights, these chimneys. Haha, and you are wondering why the girls form these strange objects in the ceramic shops :-) | JLBG Fri Nov 28, 2008 16:46 UTC I have never seen such outstanding fairy chimneys. For me, the three-headed fairy chimneys make me think of a group of morel! But morel are phallic too! VT location data base is full of traps! | LoriPori Tue Nov 25, 2008 20:40 UTC Truly fascinating fairy chimneys, esp. Camel Chimney. Enjoyed your photos and explanation of how the chimneys were formed. Excellent page Sergey. | KiKitC Tue Nov 18, 2008 13:39 UTC Oh, wow! What a beautiful, fairy-tale like place. Thank you for the tour. Would love to see this! |
