Basilica of the Annunciation

Nazareth is the largest city in the North District of Israel. The city is interesting because it is described in the New Testament as the childhood home of Jesus. That’s why it is a center of Christian pilgrimage. It has many shrines commemorating biblical events.

Sergey, fantastic little page about this historical place. I especially like your rock group Nazareth tip, because I can imagine young Sergey very well. I have even met young Sergey last year in October. *winkygrin*

Very interesting Sergey - I especially liked to hear about all the different gifts from various countries to the Church of the Assumption. And I too remember the rock group - This Flight Tonight was my favourite!

What a stunning page Sergey! LOL, I remeber the rock group Nazareth. My sister played their records a lot! Nazareth is a very special place in my hearts.
