Even at duke Leopold the construction got there such a scope about which capitals of larger states did not suspect. The new Louvre was started to build there in 1717 - what was the level of claims! But the original, become the history greatness of duchy Lotharingian was necessary for a time of boarding of Stanislav Leschinsky.  Thanks for the great stories about Nancy in Lorraine! I did not know that the Battle of Nancy was such a big event in European history. Also, thanks for visiting my Tallinn page. The Old City in Nancy appears to be a less touristy than the one in Tallinn.

This is really a very thorough visit of Nancy! Same than Metz, I went often in Nancy but 90% of the time for work and 10% for a rest with a beer n some terrace with a view on Stanislas Place. Not much time for a visit!

Enjoyed this page on Nancy. We were once in the area of Nancy many years ago, but sadly did not go directly into the city. The parks and architecture are wonderful. Thanks for the history of Nancy.
