    Getting TO/AROUND: Take the A8 motorway (Salzburg-Munich), leaving at the Bernau exit to continue to Prien am Chiemsee. This little town is situated on the western coast of the lake. At the roundabout outside Prien follow the signs to the Chiemsee or Konigsschloss.

    As the Palace is situated on the island, you should take a boat to reach it.
    There are regular boats to the Herreninsel from Prien/Stock.

    Timetables of the Chiemsee train and the Chiemsee boats can be found on the Internet at http://www.chiemsee-schifffahrt.de

    Usually boats go to the island every 15 minutes.
    Boat trip from/to Prien-Stock ca. 20 minutes one way.

    Getting TO/AROUND: Take the train to Prien am Chiemsee (around an hour's ride from Munich). This little town is situated on the western coast of the lake.
    From Prien am Chiemsee station there is a special Chiemsee train to the Prien/Stock boat pier which runs during the summer season. The pier is otherwise about a 30-minute walk from the station.

    As the Palace is situated on the island, you should take a boat to reach it.
    There are regular boats to the Herreninsel from Prien/Stock.

    Getting TO/AROUND: When you arrived on island you may chose two ways to get the Palace.

    The carriages run from mid-April until the end of October between the boat pier and the Royal Palace (shuttle service).
    The trip takes around 15 minutes (one way).

    The price for a one-way trip is 3 euros, for children and young people under 18 the price is 1 euro.
