"Kohtla Jarve - a remote industrial town in Estonia" Kohtla-Jarve by bosoxfan75

The purpose of my trip to Estonia was for some technical support at a chemical plant in Kohtla-Jarve. This remote town is about a 2-hour drive east of Tallin on a highway recently built by the EU. Even with snow on the road, the drive was fine. It actually shows you how low the population density of this country really is - believe I read it was at least one of the lowest in the world. I don't think there is much more tp the town that industry. I think there is a casino in town and theres a place to tour the oil shale mines. I was either at the chemical company or my hotel, the Saka Cliffs Spa & Hotel. I also visited one "Italian" restaurant near-by. If I had more time, I might have continued to drive east another couple hours to visit St. Petersburg in Russia.
