Xi An - Home to the first emperor of China, and the Terracotta Warriors

The emperor's tomb is currently excavated, and will take many more years from 2011 to be ready.

Though there are many Terracotta Warriors to be found, there are still much more waiting to be excavated. Currently there are 3 pits at this Unesco site, with pit 1 being the biggest, showcasing the main frontline soldiers. Pit 3 is the smallest, and it shows mainly the command centre and the higher-ranking officers

You may also visit the musuem, which showcase the history of Chian, starting form the stone ages.

Its free, but do bring your ID or passport. Also come early as tickets are limited

Also, you may want to visit the Big Pagoda, and the nearby water fountain
