The biggest town in Kansas

I'm so glad I live in Wichita rather than on a farm or some small town. Although Wichita didn't have much to offer about 20 years back, this town has been growing & improving since then. Wichita has major event's each year such as the River Festival and Home & Garden Show. This town is also getting in the grove with building up downtown, commonly known as Old Town, with unique boutique type shopping, tons of nightlife & many resturants to suit your style. Wichita also offers 3 major colleges to chose from. Wichita State, Kansas Newman and Friends University, which all add there own entertainment to the Wichita Community. Wichita has grown in a massive rate since I was a child & is now home to 400,000 people

Pros and Cons

Pros:Cost of living and products are very reasonable
Cons:Not a whole lot to do here
In a nutshell:Fun can be had if you look hard enough!

nice writeup on your home town. I drove thru Kansas last in 1967 - not what it used to be. Remember getting gas at 19 cents a gallon. I love animals - zoo sounds terrific. N>

The home and garden show sounded good. Guess there is not much else to do but sometimes that is a good thing. Enjoy.
