After arriving in Algercerias from Morocco, we hoped on a bus & headed to this cute coastal town for lunch. But before we filled our bellies, we had to indulge in the warm, welcoming ocean. We rolled up our jeans and went in up to our ankles. It was a beautiful day and a nice place to stop for a bit. Since it was January, the beach was nearly empty. Yet, the weather was in the mid-70's and they sky was crystal-clear.
"...Before we got to the beach, I had to do something very important--get rid of my shoes and socks! The sand felt so incredibly good underneath my feet. We ran down to the sea and stood waiting for an approaching wave to flatten out and reach our toes. The greenish blue water was chilly, but not so cold that we had to stop. I found a shell and some polished stones for momentos. It was difficult to leave the sun and sand. I honestly could've stayed right there for a week or more." |
