Makow Podhalanski is situated about 70 km south from Krakow. It is a small town in a district of Sucha Beskidzka. Makow is located under the river Skawa, in Beskid Makowski Mountains, According to statistics, in 2004 Makow had 5710 citizens.
First mentioning of Makow in chronicles was in XIV century. Till XIX century Makow used to be one of the most famous centre of pilgrimages in South Poland. |
