Piotrkow Trybunalski is located approximately 42 kilometers or 26 miles south-southeast of Lodz in central Poland. A textile center, it also manufactures wood and glass products. One of Poland’s oldest cities, it was first mentioned in 1217 and became the seat of several Polish diets (1347–1578) and tribunals (1578–1792). The city passed to Russia in 1815 and was the capital of Piotrkow province from 1867 to 1915. It reverted to Poland in 1919.

The main market square looks so appealing that one day we hope to return to Poland to see more of the fine towns. You did a great job of presenting this city.

Piotr, another awesome page of yours. I have been to quite a few cities in Poland yet, but I am glad to read that there are still many hidden gems to discover. I have never heard of Trybunalski before. Keep up the good work ... :-)
