San Miguel de Allende is one of those places that you just know, once you've been. You'll one day return.
I've stayed here twice now, and enjoyed it very much.
There are alot of people from other countries living here, Canada, the united states, germany, the list goes on, and you'll understand as soon as you experience it, why that is, the town is beautiful. It's got modern things as well as very old, some may even think backward. If you seek a quiet vacation spot, this is a good bet, but at the same time, there are exciting things to get upto as well.
I came across a few schools here, from the smaller art and computer classes, to even larger full-on courses. It seemed the perfect spot for these. Relax and learn.

There are many shops you'll find to browse in and spend your peso's, very many excellent crafts people work out of here, and even some they import from. Such as artisans in larger cities like Oaxacca in the south-west.
