Island of Discovery

Recently (Nov. Dec '07) I spent 3hree weeks over on the islands of Hawaii, two of these just on Kauai, the garden Island, and was not disappointed at all.
Being the garden Island, it's very lush and green, so you should expect plenty of rain, of which did happen, quite a bit. Coming from another rainy place, there were times when I thought (waking up) that I was still at home.
The big difference from home was, number one, the temperature, a considerably warmer climate, plus we just don't have gorgeous flowers growing everywhere in the month's of November and December.

The views

(Jurassic Park Falls) - Manawaiopuna Falls

While you are visiting Kauai, you must hire a helicopter if you want to see the island properly, these guys can take you into places that you normally would not be able to see otherwise. If you ever saw Jurassic Park, you'll remember this waterfall. The only way to see it is by helicopter.

Cons:Plenty of rain
In a nutshell:Two weeks with planning will be plenty

Some really useful & interesting tips. Pidgin info fascinating. This looks like my sort of place - would especially love the helicopter flight
