"What's New in A ..." a Province of Antique Travel Page by bike_packer

We stayed 2 days in Mayet's hometown of San Jose, the capital of Antique. Also the commercial center of the province, this coastal town never runs out of seafood considering that the province of Antique is a tiny strip of land with a long stretch of seacoast to the wet facing the Sulu Sea - a very rich fishing ground for most of the Antiquenos who earn for a living as fishermen. The province is recorded in the history books as the landing site of the first Malayan settlers to the archipelago - in the town of Hamtic.

From San Jose, we drove up to Caticlan/Boracay passing by the newly-cemented coastal road that runs parallel to province's seacoast. One of the most scenic coastal road I drove by considering the smooth of the ride on this almost traffic-free yet well-paved national road.
