Steven Spielberg must have been a secret visitor to Bohol once, the tarsier looks almost the same as the Great Yoda of Star Wars.

One of the few islands in Southeast Asia where this cute furry animal call it home, Bohol has been on the forefront in the preservation of this endangered species and has lately been successful in reversing the extinction trend.

My kids are over-excited in getting a real feel and touch of this very rare animal. "This is for real, 'ma!"

On the way to Chocolate Hills when coming from Panglao, the usual route would make a stopover first to board the Loboc River Cruise. And with a hearty buffet meal served on the Floating Cruise Restaurants, it should charge you enough energy to climb the 100+ steps up to the Chocolate Hills Viewdeck. But that's going ahead on time. While in Loboc, relax and enjoy the river cruise - sumptous Filipino food, the greeneries along the river and the waterfalls upstream.

The deliciously-named hills can wait later, anyway.

The age-old Spanish-architecture churches of almost every town in the province are unbelievably restored as much as possible to their original intricate details. Materials used are generally coral stones and adobe which are a-plenty in Bohol.

It was surely on time for our visit to the province on a Holy Week to do Visita Iglesia.
