The Men That Don't Fit In | Sitting on the slope of Hippos |
There's a race of men that don't fit in, A race that can't stay still; So they break the hearts of kith and kin, And they roam the world at will. They range the field and they rove the flood, And they climb the mountain's crest; Theirs is the curse of the gypsy blood, And they don't know how to rest.
If they just went straight they might go far; They are strong and brave and true; But they're always tired of the things that are, And they want the strange and new. They say: "Could I find my proper groove, What a deep mark I would make!" So they chop and change, and each fresh move Is only a fresh mistake.
And each forgets, as he strips and runs With a brilliant, fitful pace, It's the steady, quiet, plodding ones Who win in the lifelong race. And each forgets that his youth has fled, Forgets that his prime is past, Till he stands one day, with a hope that's dead, In the glare of the truth at last.
He has failed, he has failed; he has missed his chance; He has just done things by half. Life's been a jolly good joke on him, And now is the time to laugh. Ha, ha! He is one of the Legion Lost; He was never meant to win; He's a rolling stone, and it's bred in the bone; He's a man who won't fit in.

| Hiking the Great Wall of China |
| | About me I emigrated to Israel a number of years ago and this was my fortieth move in my life. Needless to say I was ready to make someplace home and that someplace is Israel. I grew up in New York City and that was an education in itself, that was the world coming to me and then as a young adult I began to go and see it. After living in Colorado and Minnesota for a over 14 years I needed to get away from 'white bread' America and see something different. Israel offers just that! We've had people from thirty different nations stay with us in the past five years and I've enjoyed guiding pilgrims around Israel as well as biblical teachings/lectures both here and abroad. My life is rooted in Jesus Christ[Yeshua Ha Mashiach] even though I am very much Jewish. |

| | Having a new life. Coming to a new country and starting over gives you- if you're fortunate-the ability to redesign yourself. I spent most of my adult years in law enforcement in one form or another and going to school full time to obtain an education in Rabbinical Theology and an ordination. But living in Israel gives me the chance to see the places I studied about for so many years and that pushed me on towards going to the Tour Guide Course which was almost two years to complete and on top of that I'm hiking the Land as much as I can. I like to bring people on pilgrimages and enhance their existing faith to a new level with showing them the bible coming alive with nature and archaeology. |
| | Teaching is a way of life Teaching was never something I went after as a profession but rather it was the gift through the Holy Spirit. Besides teaching in Israel I have the opportunity at times to do radio talk shows like this one with a good friend in International Falls, Minnesota. Gene Gee is one of the DJ's for Psalm 95.5 FM who is kind enough to let me share with his listeners topics on Messianic Judaism and current events in Israel. |

| | Lighten up, G-D wants You to be Holy and Happy! I found that it's very important to have a sense of humor in ministry and for me thankfully it come naturally. My mate who took this picture in China is an up tight Englishman [ I love you anyway Brian :)] and he was more embarrassed taking the photo than me being in it.
Holiness gets the wrong idea in English. It's usually understood in the meaning of piousness to the Nth degree rather than 'separate' as it is understood in Hebrew. |
