As far back as I can remember, I have always loved to travel.
When I bought my first car, a red VW beetle in 1979, I wanted to take off every weekend and go places. Of course, this did not happen due to a chronic lack of money. But still my friend Karin and I ventured out during Easter of 1979, at age 18 and 19 respectively, to travel to Paris.
It was a great trip. We did not have a hotel reservation, but I had a penpal there .... we spent one night at his place, one night in the car, and for one night we found a hotel bed .... it was quite an adventure and it started my travels by myself, without my parents.

The last trip I took was this October to Grand Cayman. Having never been to the Carribean, I was speechless when I saw the blue-turquiose colors of the Caribbean Sea. How wonderful! Look for more on this trip on my Cayman page. My next travel will take me to my neighborhood this afternoon - I am going to the Christmas Market in Dreieichenhain, supposedly very nice and romantic. As regarding my next long distance travel, I don?t know yet .... but I am looking for suggestions...
