The Orphanage provides a home for elephants ranging from babies to adults and is situated close to Maha oya on the way to Kandy. The elephants are free and are well taken care of by the efficient staff trained to do this job. This is one location a one must experience in Sri Lanka...

Pros:Well worth a visit as its one of the major toursits attraction here in Sri Lanka
Cons:Can be very crowded and polluted as well on most days..
In a nutshell:Goes boyond words when it comes to human rights...
