COLOMBO, SRI LANKA..THE ISLAND PARADISE

Welcome to my home pages... Sri Lanka is where I live presently in the heart of Colombo, the capital city of the country!

The sandy beaches which is native to my country is one of the biggest tourist attraction here...

Colombo by Night

This is how my City Colombo would look on a beautiful evening... its nice and well lit but can be very crowded and dusty during the day time. What makes it unique is that its a one stop place for everything, you can find everything any one wants in this city of Colombo.. There are plenty of shopping malls and good pubs along with good entertainment in the evenings. There are also plenty of good restaurents too due to the mixed community of the country. You will find all kinds of food here and they cater to many tasts including the foreigners since its a major place of tourist attraction.

Old Parliament Building and Twin Towers

The old Parliament Building in Galle Face Colombo City and the Twin Towers which are the tallest buildings in the country presently. This is a beautiful area of the Colombo City as these buildings are facing the sea and galle face is quite famous amongst many old and young. One can experience a huge gathering of people every evening in this location and is highly a security zone due to the prevailing situation of the country.. a nice place to take a walk in the evenings...

Colombo Port

This is an aerial view of the Colombo Port, the largest port we have in the country...this is the most convenient port apart from the natural port in Trincomalee..east of sri lanka...

Gangarama Temple, in Colombo

Gangarama Temple is a place of worship by the Buddhist here which is once again a major tourist attraction...This is situated in the heart of Colombo 2 and the most unique part of this temple is that a part of it is built on a lake and will be lit the way as shown in the picture in the evenings..this is easy accessible by any visitor..

Colombo Museum

A view of the Colombo Museum which is once again situated in Colombo 7, the most modern and richest part of the country.

The Tea Plantaions...

A view of one of the many Tea Plantations sites in the country... and one can experience many tea plantations on the way to Nuwara Eliya and any destination to up country... The weather is amazing out there and there will be so much to experience...a place a one must go..if you ever visit my country..

How much does a taxi cost in colombo on per day basis with tours out of the city limits.

Day temparatures in nuwara eliya go up to 22c but at Ohiya it never rises above 12 C so Ohiya is the Coldest Place in Sri Lanka i BELIEVE
