Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water garden is owned and cared for by the National Trust. The 800 acres of glorious countryside are brought to life by the wonderful 12th century Abbey Ruins, the Abbey Mill, Fountains hall and if all this isn't enough the Unesco World Heritage site of the Studley Royal Water Garden.

Pros:Take waterproofs in case of rain.
Cons:None that I can think of ... it's a great place.

  Thanks DAO, we were lucky to go on such a sunny day. There are so many places like this up North to visit - too little time :-(
