Liverpool is most famous for being the birthplace of the Beatles and attracts tourists from miles around to visit the many museums and notable places connected with the group. This dynamic City is situated on the Eastern side of the Mersey estuary in the borough of Merseyside.

Several areas of the City Centre were granted World Heritage Status by UNESCO in 2004. These areas are referred to as the Liverpool maintime mercantile City. Six separate locations in the City make up the Heritage Site including the Pier Head, Albert Dock and William Brown Street.

Liverpool has some great shopping streets, waterside restaurants at the Albert dock, Museums galore for you to explore and a maritime history for you to discover aboard one of the many boat trips.
