My first trip to this lovely City was to meet up with VT Member Balam, his son Evan and girlfriend Kayleigh. I had a great time with my VT buddies & was given a first class tour of the Centre & local watering holes! The sun shone (almost) all the time I was there, I was assured it was always like that in Manchester.... hmmm, think someone is telling little white lies!!

Manchester is a vibrant cosmopolitan City where innovative new designs sit side by side with the fabulous architecture of older buidlings. There is literally something new and exciting to see around every corner.

You will find many green spaces and squares here, intertwined between the tall grand buildings; an ideal way to relax after a hectic day shopping/sightseeing in one of the many streets.

The Rochdale Canal weaves it way alongside the streets of Manchester, it is a joy to see this working canal in action and all the pretty barges along the way.

You literally are spoilt for choice here when it comes to Shopping. There are several shopping streets around the centre with shopping arcades such as the Arndale and Triangle - it's a good job I'm not a shopaholic, I'd be gone for days!!

There are so many fab places to eat here - this is my kinda place!! Chinatown is fabulous with its' Chinese buffet restaurants, take aways & even a chinese betting shop!!

There are various Gastro-pubs around the centre offering pub grub and also the 'Printworks' arcade which offers a wide variety of restaurants such as; Old Orleans, The Rock Cafe, Nandos and Chiquita to name a few, this is a wonderful place buzzing with atmosphere and ambience.
