O'ahu

O'ahu, Hawaii's third largest island in terms of area, indeed lives up to it's name as "The Gathering Place" of the islands, with just about 900,000 people living on the island, or almost 75% of the state's entire population. O'ahu is also the location for the State of Hawaii's capital and largest city, Honolulu, comprising of over 400,000 residents in it's own right. When people think "Hawaii", many of O'ahu's landmark's are what first come to mind. The world famous surfing, the beaches, the mountains, the memorials, are all here. With it's unlimited sights and activities, O'ahu is a great place to start one's adventures on the islands. Each one of the Hawaiian Islands has it's own unique flair to it, and O'ahu is no different. From Waikiki to the North Shore, O'ahu has so many things that can make a Hawaiian vacation unforgettable!!!

See All You Can
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Although the most urbanized of all the Hawaiian Islands, O'ahu has an endless beauty all to it's own. There are wonderful beaches at all corners of the island, and the Waianae and Koolau mountain ranges flank the island's edges to the west and east respectively. The beaches and mountains serve as a spectacular backdrop to numerous sights to be seen on the island. My advice: rent a car, and see everything you can while you on on O'ahu. But do take the time to enjoy each sight, they are all special!!
Above All, Enjoy It
"Make sure to stop and smell the roses!" I recommend this for any trip or vacation, but 1st and foremost, enjoy your time in O'ahu, just hit a relaxing beach, and chilllllllll. When you are in a tropical wonderland like O'ahu, do as the locals do, "Hang Loose, Brah!!!"
 Wonderful pictures at Oahu...I've not explored Hawaii -- hopefully someday, would love to see USS Arizona because we are from AZ, Norman :)
 Very good Oahu page. Seems I could hear a steel guitar in the background while I read your tips.
