The town has all the basic necessities, once in a while a product or service is not here, but very seldom. This is very much a working class and small business type town with a number of basic manufacturing plants and agriculture serving as the main employers. Has a community college giving indirect access to a four year degree. Agriculture is the culture. Little interest to tourists present. Relatively crime free. Town serves as a shopping and service center for perhaps a half hour drive away. Population has been stable, unlike many towns in out state Nebraska.
