I love Las Vegas. I have been there 8 times since 1997 and I've stayed at a different hotel each time. I go to Vegas to shop, dine, and take in the sights. I've been known to drop a quarter or two in the video poker, and came away with a royal flush the last time I was in town, at Excalibur Hotel and Casino.
Vegas started out as a shared vacation with my sister who talked me into meeting her there in November 1997. We had a blast and went two more times prior to her death in 2001. Here we are in her favorite place in the world, the Bellagio conservatory. The Bellagio has since become well known as the location for Ocean's Eleven. But to me, it will always be Deana's stomping grounds.
I have gone back 5 times since her death; only happy memories of her in Las Vegas. She left her footprint in this town.
It might not be the real Paris... but hey it's clean and the people smell good! Deana hams it up in front of the Paris Hotel and Casino. The shops are charming, and our favorite bathroom in all of Vegas is hidden here. Vegas has some over the top bathrooms
- Pros:Always something to do. Always!
- Cons:It's not as cheap as it once was.
- In a nutshell:I always feel sorry for tourists from outside the U.S. if this is the first place they visit. They must think all of America is like this.

Good page! Great comments on the hotels. Though I did not stay at the Trop I actually found the employees in the lounges and common areas to be helpful.
