Nightlife Spot: Night bazar
Before i went to Chiang Mai, i couldn't tell the exact location of Night Bazaar. That was because different map vendor gives different location... i was so confused... Now i'd been to the place, i'm able to tell the location and the different... Overall, the Night Bazaar is made up of several shopping complexes/areas and stalls along the Chang Khlan road. It starts from the Tapae Rd intersection and ends about at Sri Don Chai Rd intersection. There are up to thousands of merchandise stalls, food stalls and also service provider stalls along both sides of Chang Khlan Rd. Some complexes/areas off the main street are a newly built to cater the increasing number of stalls. We went to the Night Bazaar from the Loi Khro Rd, which was about at the middle of the Chang Khlan Rd. My first impression to Chiang Mai Night Bazaar was it seems like a China market. I felt like most if not all of the stalls along Chang Khlan Rd were selling 'Made in China' merchandises. All of the watches, T-shirts, bag, torch, etc were look like being imported from China. Just in a while, we lost our interest on the Night Bazaar and walked to a end of Night Bazaar to get our dinner. At least there we found something not really came out from the Chinese factory. After dinner, we walked along both side of the street and i realized most of the stalls along the Chang Khlan Rd were selling 'Made in China' merchandises... If you are looking for something else, below will be the places i would like to suggest: - Anusarn Market - Kalare Night Bazaar - A multi-story complex on the left toward Tapae Rd (can't remember the name) I've written down some unique characteristics of the places above. Please look for individual details in their respective page.

Nightlife Spot: Night bazar
This area is off the main street of Chang Khlan Road, somewhere near the Anusan Market. Compare to other stalls along the Chang Khlan Road, this place is more spacious and comfortable to walk around. Here you can also find more local made products such as key chains, fabric wallet, souvenier, hand made notepad, local fried food, etc... Beside that, you can find a lot of foot-massage center at this area and their rate is very competitive. 30min foot massage for only THB 60. Other places the price might vary around THB 150 - THB 250 per hour... So after a tiring walk along and around the Night Bazaar, it is good to 'treat' your foot with something nice and relax... Believe me, your foot will feel like a total relief after the massage.

Nightlife Spot: Night bazar
This place is beside the Chang Khlan main street, at the right hand side if you are facing north at Chang Khlan load. The unique characteristic about this place is that it looks like a newly built area comprising merchandise stalls and food stalls. The whole place is very clean and pleasant. The food stalls are well organised and selling different kind of foods. You have to buy coupun first before you can buy your food. The merchandise stalls are also some distance from each other giving so that you can move around comfortably. Some more, the toilet is free and very clean. During my visit, there was a traditional Thai dance on the stage and people got to enjoy it while having their dinner. I never try the food there, nor the merchandise there as i'm was very fyll... but i bet the price there should be slightly higher than other stalls, right?...

Nightlife Spot: Night bazar
This is a multi-story (about 3-5 stories) shopping complex beside the Chang Khlan road. It is at the left hand side if you are facing North at Chang Khlan road. Sorry i cannot remember the name of the complex... The unique characteristic about this place is that the whole complex is like a art center. They sell all kind of art, handicraft, home-made merchandise, etc... If you stepped into the upper or lower ground floor, the first thing you will get is you will definitely amaze with the painting the artists are working on. I have come across a lot of artists selling their paintings/potraits before, but i never see an artist putting 'life' into the drawing! Looking at thier painting, i felt it more real than the camera can ever capture. If you look into the eyes of the object in the painting, it is as the person is looking at you... Try to get a sit provided to see the artists' determination of bringing painting into life! Beside the astonishing work of the artists, there are other stalls in the complex selling a lot of nice handicarfts. It worth a walk around the complex as most of them selling merchandises quite different from the stalls along the street...
