Main Meander Main River Review

A relaxing way to kill time in Frankfurt is to make your way to the Main River and stroll along the riverside paths. It's a great way to get your blood pressure down in this all-business city. It was rather cloudy when I took my walk, but you can still get the idea of how calming the views are.

European Central Bank

An interesting place to view, made a bit more poignant given current events, is the Eurotower, the headquarters of the European Central Bank. The center for all financial decisions in the Eurozone, the building is marked by a huge monument in the shape of the symbol of the Euro, the common European currency (at least as of this writing in December 2010). The building is certainly worth a look as you stroll around downtown Frankfurt.
