Berggasthaus Seealpsee: Mountain Hut on the Seealpsee

We arrived somewhat off-season (the Berggasthaus is open mid-April to mid-October or thereabouts, depending on the weather), so it was quieter than it normally would be. Rooms are furnished with basic, unvarnished wood. Beds were comfy enough. There are sinks in the rooms, other facilities are down the hall. Some English is spoken, but it's helpful to speak German. Very cozy and off the beaten path.

NOTE: Some may find it a rather strenuous walk from Wasserauen, and there is no option to drive/ride to the Seealpsee. Be sure you're in shape, and pack light.

Directions: From the Wasserauen train station, walk up the paved road past the end of the line. After about 40-45 minutes of moderate hiking, you will arrive at the Seealpsee. It's the house closest to the lake.
