CITY OF MINARETS AND DOMES....

ISTANBUL IN MY WAY:)
A GREAT WAY TO FEEL ISTANBUL, DO WHAT A TURKISH POET ORHAN VELI KANIK(1914-1950) SAYS

I am listening to Istanbul, intent, my eyes closed;
At first there blows a gentle breeze
And the leaves on the trees
Softly flutter or sway;
Out there, far away,
The bells of water carriers incessantly ring;
I am listening to Istanbul, intent, my eyes closed.
Bosphorus and a Lady who wears flowers

Istanbul in Spring

Istanbul looks colorful in Springtime. Flowers blossom and parks & gardens become delightful places.

 Beautiful photos and detail - hope to see it all one day - but, especially Topkapi as I heard of it long ago. Ciao, Carol <(•¿•)>

 I was surprised to learn that the Pera Museum has a piano that was once owned by Maria Callas. There is certainly a lot to see in Istanbul! I went up in a balloon once in Paris, and had a great view.

 I have a strong desire to take in the culture for this fine city-but when we can get there is unknown. Thank you for the tips and pictures to enjoy.
