Amman

Amman in my way :)
At first sight I didnt like Amman. There was no obvious reason for that but i didnt like it anyway. Perhaps I visited Al Ballad first. I was expecting more touristic or a place orginazed for tourists. (souveniers, guidebooks, postcards, maps etc) Day after day I visited other parts of the city and I began to cheer up. Al Wakalat is a good street with full of shops and cafes. Al Rainbow is another street where you can have good time in Amman. then I visited Al Balad once again and that time I noticed that it wasnt that bad. Roman theatre and the museum made up my mind and Im happy to visit Al Balad second time. Now Im happy to visit Amman :)
Jordan Folklore Museum

Jordan Folklore Museum

I liked tihs museum so much. Costumes are interesting.

The Jordan Folklore Museum is located within the western section of the Roman Theatre in Amman(Al Balad). This museum was founded by the Department of Antiquities and officially opened in 1975. The museum houses items representing the following Jordanian cultures:
The culture of the desert (Bedu).
The culture of the villages (Reef).
The culture of the towns and cities(Madineh).
The collection of the museum represents items of daily life from the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, such as:

Costumes of the various areas in Jordan.
Utensils used for food preparation, making bread, coffee, and tea.
Al Rainbow

Al Rainbow

It's a nice place to explore. I liked to see on the street olive trees at Al Rainbow :)
Rainbow St. near the 1st Circle in Jabal Amman is an interesting area to walk around and explore, it is named after the old Rainbow Cinema which is now out of use, but the area has been recently experiencing a revival with many of the old houses being restored and put into use, in the area there are some cafes and bars including Books@cafe and Wild Jordan both with great views, a Hammam, the Royal Film Commission which sometimes holds outdoor screenings on its patio and some interesting small shops.

The Roman Theater and the Folklore Museum look definitely to be a must see to do in Amman. I like the name Mecca Mall.
