. . I have only visited New York once and that was back in 1977. It was my first overseas holiday and was during an end of school camping trip to North America and Canada. My memories of New York are few but I do recall going up the Empire State Building and standing at the bottom of the World Trade Centre looking up at the twin towers rising, seemingly endlessly, into the sky. It was an amazing sight and one that I have often remembered following the events of recent years. |
