I paid a visit to Lake Powell in the Glen Canyon area more than 25 years ago with a group of friends. Our visit included an ill fated power boat trip on the lake when we hit a submerged rock formation and did some considerable damage to the propeller. I will always remember the words of the guy at the boatyard when we returned it "Jeez Guys, what'd you hit?". Luckily the bloke who hired us the boat wasn't around and we pointed out that he had stated on the hire form that there was some damage to the prop before we set off. Exactly how we got away with returning the mangled mess we did I don’t know but we got our full deposit back and got out of there pretty quick.
