Welcome to the Middle of everything Columbus, Ohio is about as Mid-West as you can get, and that's a good thing. They have restaurants for every palate, without being too snooty. Strong nightlife for every age, without bouncers not letting you come in if you don't look like Brad Pitt. This is also a strong college town with this being the home of Ohio State University, everybody loves the bucs, (except me, I went to Michigan State), The people are friendly in the Mid West sort of down to earth way. There are enough sports to keep you busy, with the Univeristy and the cities own professional hockey, soccer and Triple A baseball team. A strong amount of Musuems as well. The music scene can be a bit stronger, but it is growing. Columbus is very easy to get around as well, up and down High St. is the heart of everything. I am a nomaid by nature, I have lived all over the country, but no way will I leave Columbus for another MidWest town. |
| | Downtown Riverfront Alot of the festival action is Downtown. With a nice river flowing through it. The Short North is in the area as well, a great arts and restaurant scene. |
