Kidwelly Travel Guide: 4 reviews and 31 photos

Sleepy Kidwelly is about a half hour drive off the M4 west and is dominated by its Castle situated overlooking the River Gwendraeth and its vast coastline. The Castle was established around 1106 and has a fourteenth century gate house, you can still see portcullis slats and holes which were used to pour hot substances onto the enemy.

Kidwelly Town Gate

Antique Store.

This is a lovely Antique shop open by appointment so it says on the door, Its just along the path at the side of the castle so give them a knock you may be lucky and find it open.
