They don't even have any trains in Brunei. In fact, there is not really much of anything. Except oil. And a Sultan, with a naughty brother who keeps getting his name in the news for all the wrong reasons, such as losing 15 billion dollars of the country's money on unwise business deals.

Old Cliffie spent a few days there. After wandering up and down the main street of the capital - Bandar Seri Begawan - a couple of times, desperately reading any notice to stave off boredom, he finally spotted a small poster in a shop window. School concert - Today!

So off he went to see a band of teenage Muslim kids strut their stuff on the stage of the local secondary school. The climax - if you dare call it that - of the show was a rousing performance of Eruption's famous hit, "One way ticket", with half a dozen headscarved girls trying to keep in step as they pranced demurely around the stage.

"Choo choo train, a-trackin' down the track,
Gotta travel on, never comin' back."

And old Cliffie has never been back to Brunei.
